Has it ever come to your mind why Muslims believe the Quran comes from God and not from Satan as some apologists love to claim? This is an important question that deserves a clear, logical answer. Let’s explore the many reasons why the Quran has to be from God and could never be from Satan or anyone else.

Why Would Satan Work Counterintuitively?

This seems counterintuitive doesn’t it? Think about it this way: Would your worst enemy write a book telling everyone to avoid him? Of course not! Yet the Quran warns people about Satan time and time again. In fact, did you know that Satan is mentioned as mankind’s biggest enemy more than 80 times in the Quran?

Here’s what the Quran says about Satan:

“O mankind, eat from whatever is on earth that is lawful and good and do not follow the footsteps of Satan. Indeed, he is truly to you a clear enemy.” (Quran 2:168)

If Satan wrote the Quran, why would he call himself a “clear enemy” to humans? That wouldn’t make any sense!

The Quran Commands Good and Forbids Evil

The Quran teaches people to do good and righteous things that Satan would clearly hate. Let’s look at what the Quran actually teaches:

Quran Commands (Noble Things):

  • Helping the poor and needy
  • Being kind to your parents and elders
  • Telling the truth always
  • Being just and fair to everyone
  • Forgiving others
  • Giving charity regularly
  • Taking care of orphans

Quran Forbids (Evil Things):

  • Gambling
  • Drinking alcohol
  • Lying and cheating
  • Being cruel or oppressive to others
  • Fornication and adultery
  • Being arrogant and proud
  • Stealing and corruption

Would Satan really write a book that tells people to avoid all the bad things he loves? The Quran even warns us about Satan’s deceits:

“The Devil threatens you with ˹the prospect of˺ poverty and bids you to the shameful deed ˹of stinginess˺, while Allah promises you forgiveness and ˹great˺ bounties from Him. And Allah is All-Bountiful, All-Knowing” (Quran 2:268).

The Quran Teaches Us to Seek Protection from Satan

One of the most telling signs is that the Quran teaches Muslims to seek refuge in God from Satan. Muslims say “A’udhu billahi min ash-shaytan ir-rajeem” (I seek refuge in Allah from Satan, the accursed one) before reading the Quran. The Quran actually commands us to say this phrase each time we recite it.

“When you recite the Quran, seek refuge with Allah from Satan, the accursed. He certainly has no authority over those who believe and put their trust in their Lord. His authority is only over those who take him as a patron and who—under his influence—associate ˹others˺ with Allah ˹in worship˺” (Quran 16:98-100).

Why would Satan teach people a special prayer to protect themselves from him? It’s like a thief giving you a security system for your house!

The Quran actually warns us about Satan’s companionship:

“And he to whom Satan is a companion – then evil is he as a companion.” (Quran 4:38)

The Quran’s Perfect Guidance

The Quran provides perfect guidance for living a good, upright, moral life. It teaches guidance in different realms of life:

Spiritual:

  • Worship only One God (Allah)
  • Pray five times daily
  • Remember God often
  • Be grateful for blessings

Social & Societal:

  • Treat neighbors kindly
  • Respect all human beings
  • Stand up for justice
  • Build strong families

Personal Development:

  • Seek knowledge
  • Be patient in hardship
  • Control your anger
  • Be humble and modest

These teachings create upright people and strong communities. Satan’s goal is to create chaos and evil, not peace and goodness.

Quran’s Challenge

The Quran challenges anyone to produce even a single chapter or even a verse like it and for over 1,400 years, no one has been able to meet this challenge. If Satan could write something like the Quran, this clearly would have been done long ago.

The Quran’s Transforms People

When people truly follow the Quran’s teachings, what happens? They become more upright, honest, charitable, peaceful, loving, disciplined, righteous and closer to God

These are all the opposite of what Satan wants! Satan wants people to be dishonest, selfish, violent, and away from God.

Logically: The Quran Has to Be From Allah

When we look at all the evidence, it becomes clear that the Quran cannot be from Satan. It has to be from God Himself. But why? The Quran:

  • Curses Satan again and again
  • Warns against Satan’s evil deceits and traps
  • Commands righteous deeds
  • Forbids evil actions
  • Brings people closer to God
  • Creates peaceful societies built on justice

What Does Satan Want?

Satan’s mission is simply to lead people away from God and into sin and disbelief. But the Quran does the exact opposite – it guides people to God and away from sin. Every page of the Quran goes against what Satan wants. God, through the Quran, desires for our betterment and shows love and care to lead us to our ultimate purpose. God actually foretells what Satan will say on Judgement in the Quran:

“And Satan will say ˹to his followers˺ after the judgment has been passed, “Indeed, Allah has made you a true promise. I too made you a promise, but I failed you. I did not have any authority over you. I only called you, and you responded to me. So do not blame me; blame yourselves. I cannot save you, nor can you save me. Indeed, I denounce your previous association of me with Allah ˹in loyalty˺. Surely the wrongdoers will suffer a painful punishment” (Quran 14:22).

Trust God Alone

The Quran is a mercy from Allah to all mankind. It guides us to what’s best in this life and the next. When we read it with an open heart and mind, we can feel it truly comes from God. The peace, wisdom, and guidance it contains could only come from our Creator, not from our enemy.

The Quran stands as clear proof of Allah’s guidance and love for humanity. Think about it: Would an enemy reveal their plans? How can a being full of evil direct people to a perfect system of morality and guidance? Why has the Quran remained unchanged for over 1,400 years?

The answer is simple! The Quran is, without doubt, the word of Allah, sent as guidance and mercy for all people. Order your Free Quran and discover its beauty for yourself!
